We're a Family-Run Business

KUNSTEN was established in 2020 as a big portfolio of many products, but the clogs were actually the very first thing we ever made. 

We're husband and wife, plus five kids, from Copenhagen, Denmark. Our shoe adventure really began in Topanga Canyon, Los Angeles, in 2018. Today, we live between Topanga and the Danish countryside, running KUNSTEN with one foot in our Nordic roots and the other in California. We went back to our Nordic roots. We've kept a beautiful companionship with the States and the rest of the world along the way. 

It might sound like a cliché, but we are truly are a family-run business. We get most of our inspiration and creativity from nature, and our kids have added their own chapter to our history in Danish design and fashion.

We hope you can feel the energy that has gone into your KUNSTEN shoes. Every pair is handmade with love, integrity, and a lot of fun.
